DOG FOULING. Owners and those in charge of a dog at the time, are reminded that: The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 2016 makes it a criminal offence if a dog defecates at any time on designated land and a person who is in charge of the dog at that time fails to remove the faeces from the land forthwith. The Act is enforced with an on-the-spot fine (Fixed Penalty Notice) of £80. Failure to pay can result in this fine increasing to £1,000.
